Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Our university database covers the entire U.S. We have different athletic demand in all regions, enabling us to filter the universities that best fit each individual athlete and their expectations.

All universities in the U.S. Our job is not to “fit” the athlete in one specific institution with which we may have a partnership , but to find all universities that fit in with what the athlete wants, as well as his/her profile (programme, location, campus size, academic level, scholarship, costs, etc.).

Yes. Depending on the programme the student is taking we can send his/her transcripts to an approved educational institution that evaluates the transcript curriculum with the university. After the evaluation is complete some credits will be considered however some may have to be taken again.

The preparation period takes from 6 months to one year, so it’s good to plan to start with at least six months before the desired initial semester start date.

No! BRUSA Sports is not an agent, we are there to help you the student-athlete find your perfect university and assist in gaining the scholarships that you deserve.

Please see the NCAA rule regarding this.

“12.3.3.1 Talent Evaluation Services and Agents.

A prospective student-athlete may allow a scouting service or agent to distribute personal information (e.g., high school academic and athletics records, physical statistics) to member institutions without jeopardizing his or her eligibility, provided the fee paid to such an agent is not based on placing the prospective student-athlete in a collegiate institution as a recipient of institutional financial aid.”

“12.3.3 Athletics Scholarship Agent.

Any individual, agency or organization that represents a prospective student-athlete for compensation in placing the prospective student-athlete in a collegiate institution as a recipient of institutional financial aid shall be considered an agent or organization marketing the individual’s athletics ability or reputation.”

This is why we can only take payment before we start your recruiting adventure. We are there to help you gain the best degree and play your sport at one of the highest levels in the world.

The main focus of our programme is to find the ideal university for each student. According to each individual profile, we search our network of universities and colleges to find those which best suit our student’s needs and expectations.

Before starting to work with BRUSA Sports, athletes take part in an athletic evaluation (either on local or via video).

In the case that they want to continue the process, a contract is signed and fee paid, and we send the athletic evaluation (with videos) and transcripts to colleges and universities. We negotiate both athletic and academic scholarships and present all offers to the student-athlete. After a decision is made by the athlete we start the enrollment process with the university.

Yes, there are 100% scholarships, however they are limited and depend on the athletic level and grades of the athlete.

At a minimum you should be looking at a 4.0 GPA and national representation in your sport.

The classes start in either August or January, and some institutions offer summer classes in May.

It depends on the league that the athlete is willing to participate. Athletes over 25 years old are not allowed on NCAA Divisions I and II but are allowed on division III and NAIA
